The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 8 pm, and on Saturday from 9 am to 10 am, at which time there will be a procession to Chapel Hill Cemetery in Freeland.
Robert was born on August 28, 1932 in Battle Creek, the son of William and Julia (Wawrzyniak) Wieczorek. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He attended the Institute of Electronics in Detroit.
On June 7, 1952 he married Roberta Garbukas at the Selfridge Air Force Base in Mount Clemens. His fifteen minutes of fame was playing two songs on his accordion, with an eight-piece orchestra for his granddaughter's wedding at the Cincinnati Music Hall. His granddaughters were his pride and joy.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta; daughter, Denise (Dr. JM) Vachhani; son, Robby Wieczorek; granddaughters, Alisha (Brian) Kalb and Raina Vachhani; sisters, Louise Young and Dolores (Donald) Reesman.
He was predeceased by an infant sister, Donna.
