A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 22 at the St. Mary Catholic Church, Mayville, WI at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. A visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Mayville.
Diane was born on March 6, 1942 in the LeRoy, WI, the daughter of Peter and Agnes (Feucht) Krapfl. She was united in marriage to Daniel Gremminger on June 3rd, 1967 at St. Andrew in LeRoy. She attended grade school at St. Andrew in LeRoy and graduated in 1957. She was a 1961 graduate of Mayville High School and then a 1966 graduate of the Dodge County Teachers College. She then went on to get her Bachelor's degree from Marian University in 1973. Diane spent her life teaching and spent the majority of her teaching years at Holy Trinity in Kewaskum where she taught for over 18 years until her retirement. After retirement she enjoyed tutoring young people. She will be fondly remembered for her determination and the love of teaching which inspired many of her students over the years.
In her spare time she was involved on the library board and was also a religious education teacher. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her daughter: Danette Gremminger of Fond du Lac. Her sister in law- Kathy Krapfl of Fond du Lac and her brother in law- Roger Gassner of Mesa, AZ. Her Aunt and Godmother- Marie Sabel of Fond du Lac. She is further survived by other relatives, friends, and her grandcat, Bree.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Daniel. Her sisters and brothers- Elaine Hoffman, Marilyn Gassner, and Leon Krapfl. Her brother in law, Richard Hoffman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Agnesian Hospice or the St. Mary's Catholic School in Mayville.
