MRS.MARY GOSSMAN PASSED AWAY SAT.
Mrs. Mary O. Gossman of Verdon, passed away at her home at the age of 53 years and 9 months. She was born March 16, 1897, at Humboldt. She had suffered a severe heart attack about two weeks ago and around 5:00 pm. Saturday, December 16, 1950 she passed away after a second attack.
Mrs. Gossman was Miss Mary Petrasek before her marriage to the late William Gossman, January 5, 1916, in Falls City. After their marriage they resided on a farm north of Dawson, until three years ago when they moved to Verdon.
Mrs. Gossman was a member of the Christian Church. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors of America chapter in Humboldt. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Anna Carpenter, Humboldt; one daughter, Miss Marjorie Gossman; four sons, Otto Gossman, Lt. Gordon Gossman, William Gossman, and Jerald Gossman; three sisters, Mrs. J. S. Neiswanger, Mrs. james Holmes, and Mrs. John McGerty; three brothers, Otto Petrasek, Glenn and Roy Carpenter; and three grandsons. Her husband preceded her in death about 2 1/2 years ago. Since his death she had bought a home in Humboldt and planned to move here.
Interment was in the Humboldt Cemetery.
