Michael Wild sr., a resident of this city for the past 17 years, died suddenly Thursday morning, after being ill for only a few hours. A heart attack was the cause of his untimely death.


He was born in town LeRoy on Sept. 28, 1862, and was a life-long resident of this vicinity. On Sept. 29, 1890, he was married to Miss Catherine Oechsner. They were the parents of three children, Michael Wild jr., LeRoy; Mrs. Leo Neumeyer, this city; and Mrs. Max Sukowatey, who preceded him in death. Mrs. Wild died on May 22, 1907.


On Jan. 26, 1909, Mr. Wild was married to Miss Mary Kauth, who survives with their one son, Charles Wild of Rockford, Ill.


Brothers and sisters who survive are John and Frank Wild, Elmwood; Mrs. Louis Reese, Cumberland; Mrs. Rudolph Spiering, this city; F. X. Wild, Amherst and Ed. C. Wild, Leland, Miss. Nine grandchildren also remain.


Last rites were conducted by the Rev. R. A. Kramer Monday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church. The popularity of Mr. Wild in this locality was attested by the hundreds of people who attended the funeral, and interment in the new parish cemetery.
