Albert John Regennitter Sr.

WASHTA, lowa - Albert Regennitter Sr., 85, of Washta died Saturday at Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital in Cherokee after a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Washta. The Rev.

Jimmy Coleman of Fellowship Baptist Church in Cherokee will officiate. Burial will be in Holstein Cemetery under direction of the Barker Funeral Home of Holstein.

Mr. Regennitter was born Jan. 27, 1892, in Bennett. The family moved to Holstein in

1902. He married Catharina Kaus in Holstein.

Catharina died in 1925. Albert married Mae Hollingshead June 20, 1930, in Cherokee and they farmed in the Washta area until retiring to Washta in 1958.

Survivors include the widow; eight sons, Glenn of Oxford Junction, Kenneth of Atalissa, Maurice of Washta, Albert Jr. of Montera, Calif., Donald of Bakersfield, Calif., Jim of Holstein, Vernon of Kiester, Minn., and Dean of Cherokee.; five daughters, Mrs.

Howard (Beverly) Dittmer of Oskaloosa, Mrs. Larry (Mary Lue) Bumann of Washta, Mrs. LeRoy (Annabelle) Paulsen of Washta, Mrs. Ronald (Doris) King of Quimby and Mrs. Robert (Beth) Nelson of Anthon, and four step-sons, Kenneth Hollingshead of Vina, Calif., Clayton Hollingshead of Wyoming, lowa, Fred Hollingshead of Sioux City and Harold of Dixon, Ill.
