Father of Niels, Kim, Andie(Remington) and Bruce. Husband of Joy Cappel. Stepfather to Valerie, Jim and Chris.
Also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great grandson.
Dr. Norman O Cappel left this existence on April 12, 2002. He was first and foremost a kind, gentle man. Secondly, he was a scientist in the true sense of the word. Not only did he build two successful companies, but he was also a pioneer in the field of antibodies. He was a World Traveler and Collector. His jade and gem collections were unequaled. His most enjoyably hobby was fishing whether in Australia's Great Barrier Reef, Canada's Grand Banks or the water off Baja - he felt happiness with a rod and reel in his hands. Norman was a great humanitarian and a generous philanthropist. He lived his life using the Golden Rule. He is much missed.
