The Anthon Herald, 12 August 1959, page 1: Mabel Ellen Curtin, age 56, died Wednesday, August 12, 1959, at a Sioux City hospital after a short illness. She was born December 24, 1902, at Nuneaton, England. She resided in the Anthon community since 1914. She lived with her family on a farm eight miles southwest of Anthon. She is survived by her husband, Daniel of Anthon, one daughter, Margaret Ann, at home; two sons, William Kissinger of Watertown, South Dakota, and Donald Kissinger of Mason City; four brothers, John Bennett and Charles A. Bennett, both of Anthon; William J. Bennett of Sioux City, and Lewis L. Bennett of Tillamook, Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Tilley of London, England, and Mrs. Rose Patterson of Anthon; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 14, at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Anthon, with Father Clement Flannery officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Anthon.
