A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Rev. Doug Hoyh officiating. The burial will follow at Crystal Springs Cemetery. The visitation is from 2:00 – 4:00 pm Sunday. Linda was born on January 8, 1919, in Benton Harbor, MI. to John & Cornelia (Miller) Hein. On June 1, 1940 she married Harvey R. Duncan in Benton Harbor, MI. During her life she worked for Cooper Wells, V/M Corp and was the bookkeeper for Gillespie Drug Store on State Street in St. Joseph. Linda was an avid bowler and golfer. In her later years she enjoyed taking care of Choo Choo. She volunteered over 2000 hours at Lakeland Continuing Care – St. Joseph and enjoyed teaching German Sunday school at St. Matthews Lutheran Church. She was always on the go and enjoyed doing many things with her daughter.
Linda is survived by her daughter Rebecca (David) Doan of Benton Harbor; a brother Herbert Hein of Benton Harbor; two sisters Eda Keller of Watervliet and Anita (Donald) Mummaw of Benton Harbor.
Preceded in death by her husband Harvey on September 17, 1974 and a sister Olga Morris
