John V. Deines, 87, one of the oldest active pharmacists in Nebraska died last Thursday at the Good Samaritan Home in Nelson.
A native of Sutton, he began his career in pharmacy 73 years ago and became a registered pharmacist in 1899. For 67 years he owned and operated the Fairfield Drug Store at Fairfield.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Rolland Stephens of Fairfield.
Funeral services were held on Sunday at the Community Presbyterian Church in Fairfield.
