Fred J. Wolfinger, 83, Hospitality House (former residence of 604 S Street, Bedford) died at 11:15 p.m. yesterday at Dunn Hospital where he entered December 19. He had been in failing health of two years.
He was born September 11, 1893 in Bedford to Christian and Minnie bowman Wolfinger and was married June 2, 1913 to Catherine Theresa Clark, who preceded him in death May 12, 1949.
The retired stonecutter was a member of St Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.
Survivors include one son, Robert F. Wolfinger Osterville, Mass, one daughter, Mrs. John F. (Louise) Staats, Levittown, Pa, two brothers, John and Andy Wolfinger, both of Bedford, and one sister, Mrs. Bessie Kimmel of Springville, One son Billy preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St Vincent DePaul Catholic Church with Rev Bernard Knoopman officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
