DIKE - Trena Dreesman, 86, of Dike, died Wednesday, July 7, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital Long-Term Care Unit in Grundy Center. She was born Dec. 20, 1923, in rural Butler County, daughter of Dick and Alice Oltman. She married Sam Dreesman on Nov. 20, 1942, at Lincoln Center Christian Reformed Church. He died in 1998.The couple farmed on the family farm before relocating to Dike in 1976. She was a homemaker, a waitress at The Barn Cafe in Dike, and the couple were custodians at the University of Northern Iowa for a couple of years. She was a member of Lincoln Center Christian Reformed Church.Survived by: two sons, Dennis (Marcia) Dreesman and Lee (Kelly); three sisters, Helen Druvenga, Fannie Bruns and Jadean Tripp; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.Preceded in death by: four brothers, Dicky Oltman Jr., Ben Oltman, Rienert Oltman and Ernest Oltman.Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lincoln Center Christian Reformed Church, with burial in Rosehill Cemetery, both in Grundy Center. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home, Grundy Center.Waterloo Courier July 9 2010
