Mrs. Marie Galle Ladner, 72, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Monday, July 12, 2010, in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Ladner was born in Biloxi and remained a lifelong resident of the coast. She was of the Lutheran faith and a fan of the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Braves. She was a very loving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Ladner was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Griffin Galle; father, Howard Leo Galle; sister, Rose "Nitty" Bosarge; and three brothers, Leo Galle, Arthur Galle and Phillip Galle.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Winfred Gregory Ladner, Sr.; three daughters, Monica Michelle Frommeyer Ladner, Cheryl (Freddie, III) Steinwinder, and Karen (Mikey) Adams; one son, Winfred Gregory (LaRhonda) Ladner, Jr.; two sisters, Charlotte (Charles) Yost and Alberta Foster; eight grandchildren, Michael (Jania) Adams, Jr., Phillip Adams, Bridgett (Justin) Lopez, Jada Ladner, Brittany (Brad) Scott, Katie Frommeyer, Blake and Rachel Steinwinder; and five great grandchildren, Lil Michael and Faith Adams, Olivia, Gabriella and Deuce Lopez.
The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Mathew Miceli, his nurse Lynn, the staff at the Regional Cancer Center, MICU and second floor nursing staff of the Ocean Springs Hospital.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi where friends may visit from 12 noon until service time. Interment will follow in Swetman Cemetery.
