Ruth Lotz, age 88, of Gilbertsville, Ky. died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Lourdes Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Jeff Biggs officiating. Burial will follow at Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds, Illinois. Ruth was a charter member of Concord United Methodist Church and a former member of the Concord Lions Club. She is survived by her children, daughter Janice Jones and husband, James T. of Paducah, Ky.; son, Gerald Lotz, Jr. and wife, Linda of Paducah, Ky; one sister, Edith Smith of Eldorado, Illinois; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren and several nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Frazier and Elizabeth Hammel Minton; her step-father, Bert A. Minton; her husband, Gerald Franklin Lotz, Sr.; and two step-brothers, Wade and Charles Minton and a niece. Visitation will be held from 10 am until the funeral hour on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
