MRS. NOAH WINTEREGG IS DEATH'S VICTIM
Well Known Woman Dies Near Here Just Before Noon Today
Mrs. Sarah Winteregg, aged 67, wife of Noah Winteregg, died at 11:15 this forenoon. Death occurred at the Ezra Wanner home in Hartford township, just south of the Jimtown river bridge. Mr. and Mrs. Winteregg had made their home with the Wanner family for some time. Death was caused by cancer and complications. Mrs. Winteregg had been bedfast for ten weeks. She had been ailing for two years. Mr. and Mrs. Winteregg had lived on a farm west of Berne for many years, and the deceased was well known here.
Mrs. Winteregg was born August 31, 1868, in French township. She was a daughter of Jacob and Anna Stuckey Schindler. At the time of her death, she was 67 years, 10 months and 29 days old. The deceased was united in marriage to Noah Winteregg, Jan. 15, 1893. The wedding took place at the Defenseless Mennonite Church.
Surviving are the husband and the following children: Mrs. Ezra Wanner, of southwest of Berne; Mrs. Edwin Moser, Elroy Winteregg and Raymond Winteregg, all of this community. Two brothers also survive, Sam Schindler of Ft. Wayne and Henry Schindler of Van Nuys, Calif. One son, Elmer, died in infancy. Two brothers preceded, David Schindler and Amos Schindler.
Mrs. Winteregg was a member of the West Missionary Church. The funeral will be held at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home and at 2 o'clock at the West Missionary Church, with Rev. Alfred Clauser and Rev. C. J. Gerig officiating. Burial will be in the M. R. E. Cemetery
