Carl Simmons
Funeral services for Carl Simmons, 52, who died on Tuesday evening at his home in Viola were held yesterday afternoon from the Holman & Hankins chapel. Rev. A. J. Ware officiated, and Mrs. John Crawford and Mrs. W. C. Green sang "Rock of Ages" and "In the Garden." Pallbearers were Carl Arnold, Al Cox, Isaac Pursifull, Paul Naumann, Fred Simmons and Jack Frost. Vault entombment followed in Mountain View cemetery.
Mr. Simmons, a bridge carpenter who had worked at Bonneville for some time, lived the the Buena Vista district in this city for many years before moving to Viola.
