Reppuhn, Jr, David E Saginaw Township Passed away Fri Dec 14, 2007. Age 89 years. David Erwin Reppuhn was born May 18, 1918 in Mayville, MI to David & Amalia (Schimpf) Reppuhn. He married Frieda Foss in 1938. She predeceased him in 1984. He later married Constance Sierchio. She survives him. David served his country in the US Navy during World War II. He was a founding father & charter member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Saginaw. He was past president of the State Home Builders Association, past president of the Saginaw Home Builders Association, a Real Estate broker in Michigan & Hawaii. He also ran for State Senator of Michigan & was a past member of the Saginaw Charter Township Board. Surviving besides his wife Constance, he leaves his son Thomas (Dawn) Reppuhn, his sisters Mary Hartman, Kate (Robert) Swoverland), Johanna (Charlie) Joyner, Martha Haenlein Boese (Milton), Lillian (Fred) Haenlein, Donna (Late Wilbur) McClymont & Richard Reppuhn; 5 grand-children; Constance (Dan) Staples of Florida, Daniel (Beth) Reppuhn of Tennessee, Thomas (Jeni) Reppuhn of Hawaii, Dustine Reppuhn of Virginia & Nikolaus (Liz Lee) Reppuhn of California, 13 great grandchildren & many other loving family members & many friends. David was preceded in death by his son Dale Reppuhn & a brother Gottfred, his sister Helena Dupuis & his brother Edwin Reppuhn. Funeral service will take place 11 am Wed Dec 19, 2007 at Resurrection Lutheran Church 2110 Brockway. Rev Kathleeen Basner and Rev Ken MacGillvary will officiate with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Military honors under the auspices of the US Navy will be observed at the cemetery. Friends & family are welcome to gather at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home on S Midland Rd(M-47) on Mon from 2-5 pm & 6-8 pm, & on Tue from 2-5 pm & 6-8 pm & at the church on Wed one hour before the funeral. In leiu of flowers memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home for your offering to ArcVista Home Health Care, whose ongoing care was beyond all expectations.
