Widow of Christian Rappuhn passed away 11:55 a.m. Friday at the Delta Nursing Home after a six weeks illness. Age 83 years. Mary Koeber was born Feb. 23, 1882 in Schafer, Russia. She was married to Christian Rappuhn Jan. 20, 1903 in Russia, coming to the USA in 1909, directly to Saginaw, then on to Owosso in 1924. He predeceased her Feb 28, 1934. She then came back to Saginaw in 1954 to reside with her son, Christ Rappuhn. She was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church and member of Mission Hall on Vermont St. Surviving are five sons and two daughters, Christ, John & David Rappuhn, all of Saginaw; Edwin Rappuhn, Owosso; Jacob Rappuhn, Melvindale; Mrs. Jack (Amelia) Johnson, Flint; Mrs. Emma Thatcher, Caro; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will take place 1p.m. Monday at Resurrection Lutheran Church with Rev. E.M. Waxler officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, Owosso, Mich. Friends may call at the Gugel Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Saturday until 10 a.m. Monday and at the church from 11:30 a.m. Monday until time of service.

Maria was the daughter of Maria Hermann and her husband Jacob Kober, both of Schafer, Russia.
