Sharon Przyborowski, 59, a lifelong New York Mills resident, died peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2007, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Utica on November 3, 1947, the daughter of Edward and Nellie Strzysz Polczynski, and graduated from New York Mills High School. She also attended the Utica School of Commerce. Sharon was married to Joseph Przyborowski on August 25, 1973 in St. Mary's Church, New York Mills. She enjoyed a career working with various clients providing accounting services throughout the area. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and a member and financial secretary of the Polish National Alliance. Sharon was a loving wife, mother and daughter who enjoyed the time spent at the family's home in Old Forge.
Her survivors include her beloved husband, Joseph Przyborowski of New York Mills; a son, Michael Przyborowski and his girlfriend, Karen MaCay of Atlanta, GA; her mother, Nellie Polczynski of New York Mills; a brother, Edward and his wife, Diane Polczynski of Rome; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her father, Edward Polczynski.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:15 at the Kowalczyk Funeral Home, 284 Main Street, New York Mills, and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 4 until 8 p.m.
