Obituary, Lethbridge Herald, January 29, 2001.

Miles Edward Spencer born to pioneer parents John Taylor Spencer and Eleanor Crihfield on September 2nd, 1912, left this earth on January 27th, 2001 at the Raymond hospital.

Dad was an intelligent man who loved to learn. He had a special interest in the solar system and enjoyed puzzling over its intricacies. We expect he is now searching for answers to his unanswered questions. He was predeceased by his wife Mildred; daughter, Mabel Rose and son, John Miles. Left on this earth to enjoy happy memories and chuckle at his jokes are daughters, Milly Jean (Fred) Weber of Victoria, B.C. Kim (Alice) (Craig) Pratt of Fort McMurray, nine grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren.

Dad loved poetry. He often quoted one of his favorites.
"He liveth best, who loveth best
All creatures great and small
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all."

Till we meet again. Love your family. Those who wish may donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation at 1011 2nd Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta.

The funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Garden Place Chapel in Magrath on Tuesday January 30th at 11:00am with Bishop Darrell Chapman officiating. Friends may meet the family at the church from 10:00 to 10:40 prior to the service. Interment in the Magrath Cemetery.
