BOOK - RICE COUNTY FAMILIES. PUB. 1981 Wall. In 1858 Daniel Wall and Margaret Dunn Wall left the green of Queenstown, Ireland, to make their home in the United States of America. They brought with them their children: Thomas, John, Anna, Mary, Margaret, Henry, and Daniel. They arrived in new York and started out west by wagon. They stopped at Hastings, MN, for a short time, and finally made their home in Wheatland Township, Rice County, state of Minnesota. Tom and John Wall went to Canada to homestead and stayed there until they became ill and then returned to Faribault and lived with their brother, Daniel, and Julia Lorem Wall until they died. They are buried in the family plot at Hazelwood, MN. Anna married Charles Quiggley and moved to Wayne, NE. They had no children. Mary married John Schmalstieg and lived in Wayne, NE. They had 2 children, Ann and Mary. Margaret never married and is buried at the family plot in Hazelwood. Henry went to Australia and was never heard from again. Daniel lived with his parents on the family farm and took care of his parents until they went to their eternal reward. Daniel Wall Sr., 75 years old, died on September 17, 1895. Margaret Dunn Wall, 65 years old, died May 20, 1900. They are buried in Hazelwood.
