Services Held For Emil Goodenkauf...

On Thursday Morning

Funeral services were held this Thursday morning at the Wherry Chapel for Emil Goodenkauf, 80, who passed away at the Humboldt Hospital Tuesday morning.

Born near Steinauer on September 12, 1888. Mr. Goodenkauf spent his entire life in and around Table Rock, and attended the Bunker Hill school north of town.

He served in World War I from May 1918 to January 1919 in Battery "A", 337th Field Artillery.

He leaves a wife, Mary; one step-son, Arthur and wife Elsie of Lincoln; grandsons Steve of Lincoln, Gene and wife of Detroit, Mich. and their two sons; two sisters, Mrs. Paul Uerling of Indianola, Nebr., and Mrs. Delphine Miller of Table Rock; four brothers, William of Denver, Colo., George of Inglewood, Calif., Ralph of Lincoln, and Alfred of Table Rock; also many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He was a member of American Legion Brown Hays Post for thirty consecutive years.

Officiating at the funeral rites was Rev. Ward Merritt. Interment was in Table Rock Cemetery.
