QUARMBY, ARTHUR.
Private. No 241918.
2/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment.
Born Honley. Son of the late Mr and Mrs Charles Quarmby, of Honley.
Lived with his sister, Mrs J. B. Fawcett, 21 Oldfield, Honley.
Employed in the finishing department by Messrs Thomas Dyson and Sons, Deanhouse Mills.
Attended Honley Church and Sunday School and was a member of the Honley Wesleyan Cricket Club. Enlisted April 1916.
Embarked for France in January, 1917.
Killed by a sniper during the Battle of Cambrai on 20.11.1917, aged 26 years.
Buried HERMIES HILL BRITISH CEMETERY.
