Mrs. Hugo (Isabel) Stemper, 69, of 14 Chicago St., Kiel, died Sunday afternoon at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, where she had been a patient for five weeks. The former Isabel Meier was born in Charlesburg, Nov. 30, 1913, a daughter of the late Richard and Mary Steiner Meier. She attended Charlesburg schools. On Oct 26, 1932, she married Hugo Stemper at Charlesburg. The couple farmed in the Town of New Holstein until 1965, when they moved to Kiel.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Gordon, of New Holstein; three grandchildren; seven brothers, Zeno and Clarence both of Milwaukee, Severin of Fond du Lac, Gilbert of New Holstein, Orville, Alvin and Patrick all of Chilton; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Wettstein of Chilton, Mrs. Leonard Heimerman of Marytown, and Mrs. Harvey Meyer of Charlesburg. She was preceded in death by a sister.
There will be a memorial Mass at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. The Rev. Francis Kirscher, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery.
