ELDERLY JEFFERSON WOMAN IS CALLED

Mrs. Caroline Bauermeister, 77, died at 6:15 p.m. Saturday at her home in Jefferson township, seven and one-half miles southeast of Ossian. She had been bedfast for the past four months, suffering from complications.

The decedent was born on July 23, 1867 in Adams county (Preble Township). Her marriage to Ernest Bauermeister Sr. took place on Nov. 15, 1888 (Preble Lutheran Church).

She had been a resident of Jefferson township for the past 56 years and was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran church, east of Ossian.

Surviving besides the husband are three sons, August, Adolph, and Otto, all of Jefferson township; a daughter, Mrs. Albert Bieberich, of Adams county (Preble Township); 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Four brothers and two sisters are deceased.

The body was taken Sunday afternoon from the Zwick funeral home in Decatur, to the residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Wednesday at the home and at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran church with Rev. Walter Schwane officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
