Samantha Hall was born Aug 7, 1825, in Adams, Washington county, Ohio, and at the age of 15 moved with her parents to Green River, Ill, and at the age of 19 was married to Johnathan L. Hunt. To this union was born ten children, six of whom are living. Sister Hunt was left a widow in 1876. She came to Michigan in 1902, since that time has made her home with her daughters, Mrs. Mary Henry and Mrs. Nella Henry, until her death, which occurred Tuesday, Feb 21, 1905. She was living with Mrs. Nella Henry, her youngest daughter, when death came to call her home. Sister Hunt was converted quite young and joined the Baptist church, in which she lived until she came to Michigan; since that time she had not joined any church, but lived and died in the triumph of living faith.
Funeral services were conducted at the Free Methodist church, South Evart, Thursday, by the writer. Test Daniel 12:13. Rev. L.T. Hazeldine (most likely from church bulletin)
