Visitation will be from 2-3pm Wed, with services to follow, at Roberson Funeral Homes Port Charlotte Chapel. Private interment with military honors will be Thursday at Sarasota National Cemetery.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Christa M. Doerrer; daughter Harriett Bowlen of California; sons Michael F. Doerrer of NY and Paul T. Doerrer of California; stepson Fabian Zuehlke of NY; stepdaughter Beate B. Zuehlke-Crugliano of Fl; sisters Annie Hustedt and Hanna Omuletz, both of Fl, and Elfriede Marquard of Germany; sister-in-law Alice Doerrer of Germany; and 8 grandchildren.
