Giuseppena Alfano, 94, of 207 Pulaski St., Spring Valley died at 12:24 p.m. Oct. 10, 2003, in Spring Valley Nursing Center.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Catholic Church, Spring Valley. The Rev. Joseph Hogan will officiate. Burial will be at Valley Memorial Park, Spring Valley.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
She was born Dec. 3, 1908, in Italy to Giuseppe and Lucia (Iocopelli) Vitale. She married Procopio Alfano in 1927 in Italy. He died Feb. 4, 1990.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Survivors include four sons, Pete (Phyllis) Alfano of Ottawa, Joe (Anna) Alfano of Ladd, Sam Alfano of Belvidere and Frank (Maria) Alfano of Spring Valley; one daughter, Santina Alfano of Spring Valley; 17 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one granddaughter, three brothers and three sisters.
