He moved to Jupiter Island in the 1950s. He was a founding director of the People's Bank of Stuart, which became Stuart National Bank, and Jupiter-Tequesta National Bank, which became Port Salerno National Bank. Both were bought out by Florida National Bank.
He received his bachelor's degree in 1929 and his master's degree in business administration in 1931 from Harvard University.
He began his career in New York City with First National Bank of New York. He was a general partner of Sterling, Grace & Co. from 1942 to 1952 and later a limited partner. He was a general partner of Walden Investors and Bimini Bay Estates on the west coast of Florida. He served on the board of directors of the holding company, Seaboard Associates.
He became a member of the executive committee and director of Republic Pictures in 1945 and a director of the Association of Motion Pictures in 1946.
He was a violinist, giving his first major solo performance in Symphony Hall in New York at age 16.
He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Mary Helen Clark, in 1979.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Boyce Lind, of Jupiter Island; four sons, Albert Clark Lind of Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y., Hoxie Robert Lind of Jensen Beach, Jon Aspegren Lind of Fort Lauderdale and Thomas Martin Lind of Hobe Sound; two daughters, Mimi Lind Rufe of Hockessin, Del., and Mindy Lind-Terk of Rowley, Mass.; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, at Christ Memorial Chapel, Jupiter Island.
