Charles F. Piper Rites Conducted
Services were held today for Charles F. Piper, 49, Mishawaka, who is survived by a sister and three brothers in Valparaiso.
The decedent, a native of Preble county, O., spent his boyhood days in Knox and moved to Mishawaka 31 years ago. He has been employed by the Studebaker corporation for 31 years.
Surviving are his widow, Bernice Jennings Piper; a son, Charles Jr., stationed with the air corps in California; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Overholser of South Bend, and Elaine, at home; a sister, Mrs. Richard Mangel of Long lake; five brothers, Vernon and Bernard of Valparaiso, Stanley of Wauhob lake, George of Bourbon, Ind., and Wilbur of Oak Park, Ill.
Services were held this afternoon in South Bend and burial was near Lapaz, Ind.
