Dietrich J. (Deke) Mohr, 88 years of age, of Lincoln, passed away at home on Saturday, 10/9/10, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on January 18, 1922 in Lincoln to John and Anna Maria Mohr. Deke graduated from Lincoln High School and served in the Army Air Force, Air Transport Command and was stationed in Labrador during World War II. He spent his career in the insurance field Deke was a member of Sheridan Lutheran Church and the American Legion for 60+ years.

Deke is survived by his wife Imogene; step sons and spouses, Gary and Cheryl Lee of Omaha, Randy and Linda Lee of Lincoln, and Scott and Kimberley Lee of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; Brothers, Walter of Tucson, Ariz., Gene of Colorado Springs, Colo; Sister, Florence Malone of Lincoln; Sister and Brother-in-law, Frieda and Mason Bowes of Lincoln; and two guardian angels, Amy Schroeder and Lisa Ryba. Preceded in death by his parents, and wives Gladys and Mary.

Services 11 a.m. Tuesday (10/12/10) at Sheridan Lutheran Church, 6955 Old Cheney Road, Pastor Greg Bouvier. Burial at Wyuka Cemetery. Memorials to church or Horizon Hospice in lieu of flowers. Visitation after 9 a.m. Monday at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street.
