Phillip Veeck, 82, former resident of Boonville, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday at his home in Evansville. Death was due to heart trouble, although he had been in poor health several years.
The body was brought to Koehler Bros. funeral parlors on West Walnut street where funeral services will be held this (Friday) afternoon at 2 o'clock, with interment in Maple Grove cemetery.
Mr. Veeck is survived by five children; Leslie of Boonville, Mrs. Clara Houghland of Lynnville, Miss Grace Veeck of Evansville, Mrs. Gertrude Casper of Los Angeles, Calif., and Ralph of Kokomo, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Meyer of Boonville and Mrs. Emma Curtiss of Evansville; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His wife died five years ago.
NOTE: Daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Casper, was born January 10, 1884 in Boonville, Indiana and died on February 16, 1965 in Los Angeles, California. Her mother was Magdalena (Roth) Veeck, first wife of Phillip. Her married name was "Kasper" instead of "Casper" as mentioned in the above obituary. She was married to Frank J. Kasper on July 30, 1919 in Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois. Her burial location is unknown.
Son, Ralph's full name was Ralph T. Veeck. He was born March 16, 1886 in Warrick Co., Indiana and died April 27, 1975 in Los Angeles, California. His mother was Magdalena (Roth) Veeck, first wife of Phillip. His burial location is unknown.
