COTTAGE GROVE—Mr. Fred John Volker, age 87, 246 Clark St., Cottage Grove, died Saturday, October 8,1977, at his home unexpectedly. He was born August 21,1890 at Cottage Grove. He worked for Oscar Mayer & Co. for 15 years. He was a member of Kingdom Hall. He Is survived by two sons, Bruce of Middleton, and Frederick of Monona; Three daughters, Muriel Mowrey of Biloxi, Mississippi, Avis Miller, and Jeanette Angell both of Madison; 23 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren; and a sister. Miss Alice Volker of Cottage Grove. He was proceeded In death by his wife. Hazel, on March 2, 1977. Funeral services will be held at Gunderson Funeral Home,5203 Monona Drive at 11:00 A.M., Monday October 10. Mr. Harry Bredlou will officiate. Burial in Cottage Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Sunday, October 9, at the Funeral Home.
