COTTAGE GROVE — Hazel Elnora Volker, age 76, of 246 Clark St., died on Wednesday, March 2, 1977, in a local hospital. She was born January 16, 1901. The former Hazel Harroun was married in October, 1917, in Cottage Grove to Fred J. Volker. She was employed by Oscar Mayer Co. for 18 years until her retirement in 1962. Mrs. Volker, was a member of Kingdom Hall and of The Royal Neighbors. Survivors Include her husband Fred. Two sons, Bruce of Middleton and Frederick of Monona. Three daughters, Muriel Mowrey of Biloxi, Miss., Avis Miller, Madison and Jeanette Angell, also of Madison. 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Three sisters, Lucy Hofeditz, California, Gladys Moeller and Bessie Dugan, both of Madison. She was preceded in death by a brother. Lee Harroun. Funeral services will be held at THE GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., 11 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 1977. Mr. Harry Bredlau officiating. Burial will be in Cottage Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 1977, at the funeral home.
