Mrs. Wilhelmina Hockemeyer, aged 72 years, widow of Henry Hockemeyer and one of the best known pioneer residents of Allen county, died Friday night at Gar Creek. Death was due to complications.

Mrs. Hockemeyer was born in Germany but has resided in Indiana since she was two years of age. Upon her marriage to Mr. Hockemeyer, the young couple moved to Gar Creek, where the decedent has resided ever since. The husband died five years ago. Surviving relatives, include the following twelve children: HC Hockemeyer, the building contractor; Mrs. Christian Moeller, Mrs. Henry Hermann and Herman Hockemeyer, all of Fort Wayne; Ferdinand Hockemeyer, residing on the Sand Point road, Mrs. Christina Wagner, New Haven; Carl Hockemeyer, Mrs. Anna Werlin, Mrs. Emily Harmann and August Hockemeyer, all of Gar Creek. A sister, Mrs. Caroline Franks of Flat Rock and two brothers, William and Frederick Meyer of Staplehurst, Neb, also survive. A daughter, Mrs. Louise Bruick (Brueck), died several years ago.

Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock at the family home and later at the Lutheran church at Gar Creek of which Mrs. Hockemeyer was a member.
