Mrs Caroline Franke, aged 72, wife of former county commissioner, F William Franke, died at her home in Madison township at noon Wednesday of pneumonia. Surviving are the husband; eight children, Mrs Fred Bohnke of Madison township; Mrs August Busick, Mrs Edward Busick, Mrs Louis Holle allof Adams county; Fred, William and Charles Franke, all of this city, and Herman Franke of Madison township; 27 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one brother, Fred Meier of Staplehurst, Neb. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock (standard time) Saturday afternoon at the home, two miles east of Hoagland and at 1:30 o'clock at the St John's Lutheran church at Flat Rock, with the Rev A Gerken officiating.
