STRASBURG -Lena Doehring Wilson, 96, of Strasburg died 12:21 p.m. Friday (July 3, 1992) in Shelby Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Grace Lutheran Church, Strasburg, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg. Burial will be in Grace Cemetery, Strasburg. Memorials: Grace Lutheran Church choir, Strasburg.
Mrs. Wilson was born on Oct. 24, 1895, in rural Strasburg, daughter of Herman and Caroline Mueller Doehring. She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Strasburg and a member of the Ladies Aid. She was a charter member and Gold Star Mother of the Strasburg American Legion Auxiliary and a past member of Shelby Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She married Charles "Tud" Wilson. He preceded her in death in 1962.
Survivors include her daughter, Sally Albin and son-in-law Theodore of Strasburg; grandson, Kenneth C. Meeker, his wife Mary and great-grandchildren, Geoff and Claire, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; granddaughter, Diane Paraiso and great-grandson, Gus, both of Strasburg; several nieces and nephews.
