Mr. Mense served in the U.S. Army suring WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Wilfred, Maurice "Shorty", and Alfred Mense; and one sister in infancy.
Surviving are his wife, Nola Mense of Washington; four sons, Ralph Mense and wife Jean of Atlanta, GA, Dan Mense and wife Linda of Washington, Pat Mense and wife Lori of Washington; and Mike Mense and wife Cindy of Kansas City, KS; one brother, Frank Mense and wife Mary of Washington; one sister Anna Mae Terschluse and husband Al of Washington; and two daughters-in-law Linda Mense of Washington and Jackie Mense of Lenexa, KS;11 grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Mense were held September 18 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Washington, with interment in St. Francis Borgia Cemetery, Washington.
