He retired as a welder from Zurn Industries. He served in the Polish Army during World War II. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helena Swieton Bieniek, in 1978; and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Stefania Bieniek; four daughters, Christine Walden, Henryka Malanowski and her husband, James, Janina Polakowski and her husband, Kaz, and Irene Seyler and her husband, David, all of Erie; a sister; and nine grandchildren.
Burial, with full military honors, at Calvary Cemetery.
