Mrs. Helena Eckelmann died at the farm in the town of Rhine where she had lived many years. Mrs. Eckelman was born in Nierstein, in 1840. She came to this country when but ten years of age, and before her marriage lived on the Gerber farm in the town of Rhine. It was in that town that she was married to John Eckelmann who died eleven years ago. Her name before marriage was Gessert.
She leaves but two children, Conrad, who has been running the home farm and Mrs. Gustave Mahloch of Rhine. The interment was made in Rhine Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fischer and Mr. and Mrs. John Bertaschy of this city attended the funeral.
