Elkhart Lake—Conrad Eckelman, life-long resident of the town of Rhine, passed away at St. Joseph's hospital in Milwaukee Thursday following an operation. The Eckelman home is located in town Rhine, four miles east of here. Mr. Eckelman was born in town Rhine, March 1, 1860, and was married to Johnettie Horneck Oct. 6, 1895, always residing on the homestead. Having lived here all his life, Mr. Eckelman enjoyed a large acquaintance and many friends in this vicinity.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Arno Radolff and Miss Bernice Horneck, who have made their home with Mr. and Mrs. Eckelman since they were small children, and a sister Mrs. Catherine Mahloch, Elkhart Lake.
The funeral will be held at the Eckelman home and at St. Peter's Evangelical church in town Rhine. The Rev. Paul Thomas will officiate and burial will be made in the Eckelman cemetery in town Rhine.
