Mason, W.Va. -- Mack W. Stewart, 83, of Mason, W.Va., died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Pleasant Valley Hospital.
He was a furnace tapper for Foote Mineral Company.
He was born Aug. 4, 1921, in Mason, the son of the late Clinton and Sylvia (Ingels) Stewart.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (Haynes) Stewart; and his brothers, Alfred "Skip" Stewart, Norman "Red" Stewart, Howard Stewart and Robert "Bob" Stewart. He is survived by his daughters, Marilyn Gagnon and Deanna Bush of Mason; grandchildren, Tanya Thomas and John Cundiff; great-grandchildren, Jerome Thomas, Destinee Thomas, T.R. Cundiff and Carlie Cundiff; brothers andsisters-in-law, James A. "Biddy" and Marge Stewart of West Columbia, W.Va., and Von Jay and Loretta Stewart of New Haven, W.Va.; and a sister, Sally Stewart of Crestline, Ohio.
Military graveside services were performed by Stewart-Johnson VFW Post 9926 and Smith-Capehart American Legion Post 140 at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Middleport Hill Cemetery in Middleport, Ohio with the Rev. Sam Cale IV officiating. Visitation was 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
