Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, December 10, at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating. Visitation will be from 10 am. until 2 p.m., Friday, December 10 at the Eddy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
Christine Schrenk was born December 3, 1927 in Eureka, SD, the daughter of Gottlieb and Sophia (Hoover) Schrenk. Christine grew up in the Venturia, ND area and attended school there. She lived in Jamestown for about 12 years before moving to Gackle, where she lived for a number of years before entering Devils Lake Good Samaritan Center in 2002. She resided there until her death.
Christine enjoyed activities at the nursing home, such as bingo, bowling and other various games. She especially enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune on television. She was known for her smile and pushing her wheelchair down the hallways of the nursing home.
Christine is survived by two daughters, Pam (Lyle) Matthews, Devils Lake, ND, and Kathy Richards, Bismarck, ND; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Walter Schrenk, Spokane, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and two sisters.
