Jane Barnhouse-
b. 1828, in Monongalia Co. Virginia. m. Ransom Dopp, on July 16, 1848, in Berrien County Michigan.

Ransom is the son of John Dopp, and is wife Permelia Reynolds. Ransom was born Nov. 10, 1828, in Genesco, Livingston County New York.

They had five children: Willie, Letecia (both died young), Louella, Augusta, and Jane (or Ina) Dopp. (Augusta Dopp graduated from the Dowagiac High School in 1876 and Ina Dopp in 1881).

They lived in Wayne township, Cass county Michigan (Dowagiac post office). They owned 1,400 acres, in sections 14 & 15, and 22 & 23.

d. Sept. 5, 1914 in Benton Harbor, Berrien County Michigan. Buried: South Wayne Cemetery, in Dowagiac, Cass County Michigan.
