YAKIMA - Peter "Horny Pete" Blaine Gutheridge, 58, of Yakima, died Tuesday December 21, 2010 of natural causes. Pete was born March 4, 1952 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin to Everett and Issabelle (Holiday) Gutheridge. He was raised and educated in Bruce before moving to Jefferson. At age 18 Pete moved to the Yakima Valley with family.
In Yakima Pete worked as a tradesman in the sheet metal and heating and air conditioning fields. Pete also owned and operated many custom Harley-Davidson shops including a partnership in Valley Precision Cycle, and Horny Pete's Custom Bikes. Harley's and old muscle cars were a lifelong passion.
Pete had many wives during his time here trying to live up to his name.
Pete was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Sunny Lynn; brothers Russell, John, and Daniel; and his father Everett. He is survived by his mother Isabelle; sons Blaine Gutheridge and his wife Katie, Robert Gutheridge, and Jeramey St. Mary; grandchildren, Jacob and Riley Gutheridge, and his granddaughter Addisyn Lynn Gutheridge; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved.
A time for final visitation has been set aside at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors, 201 N. 2nd Street on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Tahoma Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his wife Sunny Lynn.
