The family lived in Mabton, where Fred worked as a warehouseman for Elmer Hickenbottom in Sunnyside and as a star route mail contractor for 20 years. He worked in the fruit industry until retiring to Yakima and then moving to Goldendale in 2005.
Fred had been a member of the Moose Lodge and loved dancing and bargain shopping.
He is survived by eight daughters, Barbara Williams, Shirley Allan, Eva Linch, Autie Bergman, Sharon Beierle, Phyllis Peterson, Charlotte Williams, and Wanda Rockwell; two sons, Harold and Alan; one brother, William; and one sister, Lillian Ream; 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren,
he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Katherine; one son, Eugene, two grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters
