OBSERVED 55th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. Barney Pruemer celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary at their home east of Teutopolis on Sunday, Nov. 19th, to which a large number of relatives and friends had been invited. A delicious turkey dinner and supper with all the trimmings was served. A beautifully decorated "wedding cake" was the center-piece for the table.

Barney Pruemer and Philomena Westendorf were married in St Francis Church in Teutopolis on Nov. 19, 1889 and have resided in St Francis Township continuously since. Of the original four witnesses, one of them was present at the celebration, namely, Mrs. Anton Deters.

Mr. and Mrs. Pruemer are the parents of six living children, namely: George, Edward and Frank of St Francis Township; Mrs. Agnes Flach of south of Montrose; Caroline and Cecilia Pruemer of Chicago. They are in fairly good health at the present time and are residing on the Pruemer homestead with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pruemer and children.
