Source: History of Sullivan County, by George Streby, as follows: John Warburton was born in Chester, England, Dec 2, 1797. John was a son of John & Ann Kinsey of Warburton, Cheshire Co., England
He married Ann Clarke, a daughter of John Clarke, born Feb 6, 1805, in England. They were married in 1825, and came to America in 1831, locating on the farm in Forks, owned by William W. Warburton in 1923, (and by Dean Warburton in 2008.) Mr. John Warburton cleared up his farm and died there May 26, 1853. Mrs. Ann Clarke Warburton lived with her son William until Oct 5, 1870, when she passed away.
