John C. Stuckenschneider, 80, St. Elizabeth, died Monday at Still Regional Medical Center. He was born June 12, 1912, at St. Elizabeth, the son of Joseph and Josephine Kemna Stuckenschneider. He was married Sept 16, 1939, to Isabelle Vandeven, who survives. He farmed most of his life in the St. Elizabeth community and was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Other survivors include: two sons, John Stuckenschneider, St. Elizabeth, Joe Stuckenschneider, Arnold; five daughters, Norma Beck, St. Elizabeth, Pat Pickles, Livermore, Calif., Mary Lou Stuckenschneider, Shawnee Mission, Kansas, Janet Mehmert and Linda Epstein, both of Jefferson City; two sisters, Olga Foglia and Rose Stroot, both of ST. Louis; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The Rev. John Degnan will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth, with a senior citizen rosary at 4 p.m. and another rosary at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the ST.
