St. Elizabeth woman dies
Mrs. Joseph Katherina Stuckenschneider. 83, of St Elizabeth, died Thursday afternoon at a Jefferson City hospital. A native of the St Elizabeth area in Miller County, Mrs. Stuckenschneider was born Feb. 19, 1891, the daughter of Conrad and Mary Kemna Bode. On Sept. 12, 1911, at St Elizabeth, she was married to Joseph T. Stuckenschneider, who died Dec. 18, 1922.
Survivors include: Two daughters, Mrs. Olga M. Foglia and Mrs. Rose H. Stroot, both of St Louis; two sons, John C. Stuckenschneider, St Elizabeth, and Clarence C. Stuckenschneider, Boone Terre; 12 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m., today, at the Stevinson Chapel, St. Elizabeth. Mrs. Stuckenschneider was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Saturday with the Rev. Ferdinand Bond officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. She was also a member of St. Ann's Sodality.
