Henry Witt (12/9/1872 to 1/3/1946 at age 73) and Frances Abramovitz Witt (12/21/1880 to 8/26/1969 at age 88).
They were married 11/5/1899 when Henry was 27 and Frances was 18. They had eight children:

Emma Witt Stachowiak (January 3, 1903- 1928) 25 years old and wife of Sylvester Stachowiak.
Mary Elizabeth Witt (April 21, 1905 - No other information. Probably died as an infant).
Joe J Witt (October 17, 1907 - December 23, 1986) 79 years old and husband of Clara Rosewicz Witt.

Raymond A Witt (February 28, 1917 - 1998) 81 years old and husband of Cecilia Golubski Witt.
Lawrence B Witt (1918- ) Husband of Aleta Hammock Witt
We are told that Henry was a small, quiet man that always had a mustache. He was a farmer with a few cows, chickens and pigs. His wife Frances was a large woman. A document was found behind a picture in the house of Joe and Clara Witt that shows that Henrick Witt made his First Communion in Pierce City, MO in 1886 at the age of 14. They lived on the farm where Tom (their great-grandson) and Mary Ann Durkin Witt now live.
Their daughter Dorothy lived with her parents until the time of her death at the age of 39. She died at the dinner table of a heart attack that may have been caused by a goiter. Her mother ran to the neighbors for help, but, they could not save her. Dorothy was engaged to one of the Smalsey boys at the time of her death.
Mary Elizabeth died as a small child during an epidemic. Lawrence was in the service at the time of Henry's death. His mother wrote several letters and tried to get him out of the service early to help with the farm.
